It All Started With a Dream

It all started with a dream shared by us, Kiruba and Manjunaathan — to build something of our own and create a place where parents could find good-quality children’s clothing at the right price.

We began by learning everything we could about clothes — the fabrics, quality, designs, comfort and, most importantly, what parents truly look for when shopping for their little ones.

In February 2022, when our second child turned two, we took our first step and opened Milir Kids in Chromepet, Chennai.

Our first store was on the first floor, and many people told us, “Why did you choose a first-floor shop? People won’t notice you.”

But we believed that if we gave our customers good products at the right price, honest service and a shopping experience they could trust, they would find their way to us.

And they did.

We did not grow through big advertisements or aggressive marketing. We grew through our customers.

They spoke about us. They recommended us to their friends and neighbours. They brought their families back to us. Every recommendation, every repeat visit and every kind word gave us the confidence to keep moving forward.

In just two years, in July 2024, with the love and support of our customers, we opened our second showroom in Selaiyur, Chennai.

And the love we received in Selaiyur was no different. Once again, our customers welcomed us, trusted us and became a part of our journey.

Today, with 5,000+ unique customers and the continued support of countless customers who keep coming back to us, we were given another opportunity to grow.
